Position Description:

We are looking for a Home Delivery Driver to distribute products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.

Home Delivery Driver Work Schedule: 5-day work week (Monday – Friday or Sunday night – Friday morning). You must be able to work either shift.

Home Delivery Driver Salary: $45,000-$55,000

HOME DELIVERY DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pre-inspections of delivery trucks
• Prepare orders from load sheets and hand held computers
• Deliver a variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Complete daily paperwork for deliveries and DOT regulations
• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks
• Practice safe driving by following DOT regulations and safety standards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid driver’s license
• Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, frequently perform heavy pushing / pulling of product and work in refrigerated conditions (33-38 degrees)
• Ability to drive safely in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, physical environment
• Clean driving record with no traffic violations
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

CDL Delivery Driver

CDL Delivery Drivers Shift: starts between 2:00am and 5:00am

Pay: $24.00/hr

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Oberweis Dairy is seeking experienced professional CDL B Delivery Drivers who pride themselves on high standards of quality, safety, and customer service to join our team. The Delivery Driver will safely drive a company vehicle on established routes to unload pre-ordered products. Each route and delivery day are unique and entail an average 15 – 20 wholesale stops. Desired candidates have highly-developed interaction skills and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Delivery Drivers are expected to comply with Oberweis appearance guidelines and wear a company approved uniform.

CDL DELIVERY DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• CDL B with air-brakes
• Pre- and Post-inspections of delivery vehicles
• Safe and courteous operation of delivery vehicles
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicle
• Pick orders form handheld device
• Daily paperwork and logs completed for assigned deliveries
• Drive and work safely to prevent accidents and injuries.
• 4-day work week (typically Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday)
• Deliver in an efficient and professional manner.
• Follow DOT regulations and ability to pass a DOT physical
• Must meet the defined MVR standards at all times to remain qualified to drive company motor vehicle
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in refrigerated conditions [33-38 degrees]
• High School Diploma or GED

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The 3rd shift Supervisor will assist in the responsibilities for learning and executing the skills required to manage the North Aurora Transfer Center. These skills include but are not limited to: leading our driver group, leading our safety initiative, creating and leading a customer service culture, delivery execution, inventory management and controlling operating expenses.

Supervisor Status: 3^rd Shift- Full-Time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TRANSFER CENTER SUPERVISOR:

• Assist in managing the daily delivery process of Oberweis manufactured and non- manufactured products to our customer’s homes, grocery stores and our company owned dairy stores.
• Ensure procedures are being followed impacting accurate and timely receiving of inbound goods, accurate and timely picking of orders and accurate, timely, and damage free shipping of outbound orders
• Address safety issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with DOT and other governmental regulations.
• Train and educate employees on company policies and safe working habits.
• Hold employees accountable to company policies, safe working practices, and government compliance.
• Lead the cooler and freezer teams; encourage them to solve problems and deliver results by listening and asking the right questions
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth transition for manufactured finished products
• Reduce special deliveries through training, coaching and accountability.
• Learn and be able to execute demand forecasting and inventory management.
• Assist in maintaining a facility sanitation program.
• Record and report key performance indicators and use these to identify areas for improvement.
• Regularly review progress with team members and commit to continuous improvement.
• Provide relief coverage where and when needed.
• Administer monthly safety training.
• Conduct daily shift huddles, may consist of weather related issues or hazards, recent near misses, product info.
• Assist with routing issues.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with drivers/management.
• Ensure adherence to the truck schedule or modify the truck schedule to fit particular needs of the shift without disruption to other shifts.
• Inventory management and proper stock rotation (FIFO) is critical in this role

HOURS

Generally, 9:00pm to 6:00am or as business dictates. Must be flexible.

• Technology Expertise: Experience with cloud-based ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics is a plus. A strong understanding of B2B/B2C and EDI solutions.

SUMMARY POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Director Quality Assurance and Food Safety position will prove to be exciting as well as challenging. We are looking for the right person to lead our quality initiatives while building a successful and long-term career. This position will be in the forefront of maintaining, building, and executing the highest quality standards for the world’s best milk and ice cream. This position will report to the President.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of the Director of Quality Assurance and Food Safety will be, but not limited, too:

• Leading the Quality Control and Sanitation Teams
• Manage Quality Assurance and Control programs
• Direct the daily laboratory workloads and activities which include, but are not limited to:
  • Performing antibiotic and bacteriological tests in addition to measuring the butterfat of raw and pasteurized milk and milk products;
  • Measuring, quantitatively, the quality of products as they are produced; recording weights, volumes, densities, lot numbers, inclusion usage, etc.;
  • Performing plant wide environmental bacteriological swabbing’s to comply with our Environmental Pathogen Monitoring Program;
  • Calibrating measuring devices such as but not limited to thermometers, pipettors, balances, etc.;
  • Reviewing temperature charts for accuracy and, if/when needed, perform corrective actions;
  • Monitoring processes and employee compliance to ensure quality is being maintained; proper labels are being used; presentation of final product is as expected; a trace back program to document lot numbers and certificates of analysis of all packaging and ingredients is being implemented and executed accordingly; ensuring all good manufacturing practices, food safety trainings, and allergen awareness are being implemented and executed accordingly;
  • Attending to the overall Laboratory cleanliness, house-keeping, and organization
• Focus on continuous improvement for the Quality Department by constantly thinking about and evaluating the existing Quality Programs – provide recommendations to streamline existing programs when necessary and possible, and recommend new programs to meet new challenges as those opportunities present themselves
• Oversee and provide training to new and existing employees as needed
• Maintain organized records for the Quality Department
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and legislation
• Ensure compliance with company, and regulatory, product quality standards, sanitation standards, food safety standards, employee safety standards, and environmental standards
• Ensures that proper GMP & housekeeping procedures are followed plant-wide
• Compile reports regarding inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies
• Ensuring plant readiness for inspections. These inspections include, but are not limited to; IDPH, FDA, MOSA, USDA, vendors, internal, and external 3rd party audits
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to bring new and fun products to market (R&D)
• Facilitate the implementation of responses to address sanitation and regulatory issues and trends
• Work with chemical suppliers on chemical system and sanitation improvements
• Work with the Executive Leadership Team to take quality assurance enterprise wide
• Participate in developing and maintaining plant safety awareness
• Manage Vendor Approval Program and help establish standards
• Maintain master sanitation schedule to ensure compliance
• Special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess:

• 5 years dairy experience is preferred
• A positive attitude with the ability to excel in a team environment
• Higher level education (BS/MS) in Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
• Certified SQF Practitioner and HACCP training preferred
• 5 to 10 years of Quality Supervisory experience
• The ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• An unrelenting desire to learn, support, analyze, and drive results for the Manufacturing Department

Glass Line Operator Reports to: Production Supervisor

Position Description:

A production tech will be manufacturing ready-to-eat dairy products. A successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, follow processes, troubleshoot, handle food products and packaging safely, and master the operations of several machines.

Production Tech Salary: Starting at $20/hour depending on experience

Production Tech Hours: M-F 12pm- 8:30pm with overtime as needed

Production Tech Job Functions:

• Adhere to our Good Manufacturing Practices
• Learn to operate machine, orientation machine, casing machine, and stacking machine
• Learn, execute, and participate in the development of Standard Operating Procedures for the production lines and follow all SOP’s
• Comply with our Sanitation Procedures, Food Safety Programs, and Quality Evaluation Programs
• Compliance with documentation requires legible handwriting
• Always maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Assisting in various roles outside the assigned work area
• Overtime, weekends, and off-shifts as needed

Education and Experience:

Description

The Laboratory Technician will be a part of the Quality Department’s team and be responsible for complying, recommending, developing, and implementing unique programs to ensure process and product quality. This individual will assist with daily operations in the laboratory through collaborative relationships with Quality Staff & Leadership to uphold company policies, formulas, specifications, and regulatory requirements as well as ensuring all finished goods meet product quality as well as food safety standards. This position requires an individual to work well independently, be self-disciplined, and well organized.

Responsibilities

• Accomplish day to day laboratory tasks; performing antibiotic, and bacteriological tests in addition to measuring the butterfat of raw and pasteurized milk and milk products
• Measure, quantitatively, the quality of products as they are produced; recording weights, volumes, densities, lot numbers, inclusion usage, etc.
• Continue, streamline, and automate our Fluid Milk Shelf-Life program
• Perform plant wide environmental bacteriological swabbing for third party laboratory testing as a part of our Environmental Pathogen Monitoring Program
• Maintain an allergen testing program and database
• Maintain an ATP testing program and database
• Maintain an S4 (Site Specific Sanitation Sheet) program and database
• Review, file, and organize laboratory documents as needed
• Monitor processes and employee compliance to ensure quality is being maintained; proper labels are being used; presentation of final product is as expected; ensuring all good manufacturing practices, food safety trainings, ATP, and allergen awareness are being implemented and executed accordingly
• Assist in keeping the Laboratory clean, organized, and tidy
• Assist Quality Department to make continuous improvement part of the Oberweis culture
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and legislation
• Adhere to the Oberweis Dairy Pledge

Requirements

• College degree preferred

Crew Member Position Summary:

Provides customers with outstanding, friendly service in a timely manner, and handles orders accurately and in a timely manner

Work Environment:

• Hands on store setting

• Work area includes food, knives, slippery floors, and extreme cold

Experience:

• Maintain product knowledge

Available Shifts: Sunday-Thursday 3pm-11pm

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Cooler Employee will be an active participant in our warehouse operations and activities. You will store materials, and pick and load orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction. Candidates should be motivated and a self-thinker with a good attendance record.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Re-stock cooler and or /freezer using product in proper rotation **1st in, 1st out**
• Picking orders in freezer and/or cooler
• Month-end inventory
• Driving forklift in cooler and freezer
• Receiving in products
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Read, write, and understand English language
• Ability to do simple math
• Standing and operating for lift equipment (stand-up forklift with clamp)
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Pushing / Pulling up to 200 lbs
• Working in up to -20 degree temperatures
