About Hoffmann Oberweis Dairy
We make ice cream. Really good ice cream.
And we’ve been doing it since 1927.
Oberweis is known for its iconic glass-bottled milk, super-premium ice cream, and a belief that great ingredients and a little joy go a long way. Today, we’re growing fast—opening new stores, launching new products, and finding creative ways to show up in our communities.
You’ll find Oberweis in grocery stores, neighborhood ice cream shops, and delivering straight to people’s doors. What connects it all is one team, one brand, and a lot of pride in what we make.
At its heart, Oberweis is pure Americana—summer nights, family traditions, front porches, and the kind of treats people remember. We respect where we came from, but we’re not stuck there. New ideas are encouraged, voices are heard, and good work shows up in real places—stores, communities, and moments that matter.
The Role
This internship is for someone who wants to be close to the action. As a Marketing Intern focused on content, PR, and local activation, you’ll help bring the Oberweis brand to life in our communities—supporting local storytelling, new store openings, and seasonal promotions across social and earned channels.
This is not a sit-back-and-watch role. You’ll be trusted with real work, real deadlines, and real visibility. The things you help create will show up in stores, on social, and in local markets.
What You’ll Do
You’ll help create and support social content tied to community events, seasonal promotions, and new store openings. You’ll assist with on-site content capture at stores and activations—photos, short videos, behind-the-scenes moments. You’ll support local PR and outreach efforts, including media lists, briefing materials, and event coordination. You’ll help execute local store marketing initiatives like grand openings, neighborhood promotions, and partnerships. You’ll draft and edit copy for social posts, email content, and local marketing materials. You’ll track engagement and performance, sharing insights with the team. And you’ll collaborate closely with store teams, marketing partners, and leadership to help activations run smoothly.
Projects You’ll Support
New store opening activations and local launch moments.
Social media content calendars focused on real people, places, and product.
Local PR and community storytelling.
Seasonal promotions and in-store marketing campaigns.
Who This Is For
You’re currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. You’re comfortable creating content and eager to get better at it. You’re a strong writer with an eye for what feels authentic. You’re organized, curious, and not afraid to jump in. You like being onsite, working with people, and seeing your work come to life.
What You’ll Get
Hands-on experience with a recognizable, growing brand.
Real exposure to content creation, PR, and local marketing.
Mentorship from a collaborative, fast-moving marketing team.
The chance to see your work live—in stores, on social, and in the community.
And yes, ice cream will be part of the experience.
